How can credit cards be a godsend to you? When you need a refund, that's when! Even if you have the cash, it is a good idea to charge very large expensive items (e.g., gym memberships and washing machines) if you can. Even if the seller is unwilling to refund your money, you can dispute the charges with your credit card company. Your credit card company will go all out for you with the seller and sometimes, just to keep their customers happy, remove the charge from your statement even if the seller doesn't agree. Try to sort it out with the seller initially but, if they won't budge-go straight to your credit card company. Paypal. Be warned, Paypal will not refund money for computer programs or website scripts etc. They have a policy, as long as it is sent via the post or electronically. They do not care if they work or not!
