It sad but true, people don't know how to budget these days. We are taught that if we want the latest plasma screen TV, we just go get it on credit or borrow to get it. Stop and think for one moment, of course it would be a nice thing to have, but is it worth taking a loan out for and getting yourself in to debt? In bygone times, people saved up for what they wanted, not chose the easy option of debt and instant gratification. Think very, very carefully at the true costs of behaving too rashly. If you were off work ill for a few weeks, would you still be able to afford the repayments? If not, is having possession of this item worth potentially wrecking your good credit score for? Do you watch TV all that much anyhow? Think about it, could buying this TV potentially wreck your chances of having a mortgage in the future?
